So thrilled with this virtual client’s bathroom refresh. The wallpaper lends warmth and beautiful gingham shades add so much charm!
We are working on the living room and kitchen next; can’t wait to share more.

I’m always up for celebrating one of my favorite colors. 💚
Love this celadon vignette in our family room that mixes inherited antiques with homemade pottery and vintage found art with family photos.

Yesterday, I met with a long distance client to discuss the details of the next phase of her home renovation. I can’t tell you what a thrill it is for me to tour the in-progress stages of a virtual client, to see the months of planning and creative ideas come to life. Still waiting on lots of fun fabrics and final touches but this room, which was beautiful to begin with, is really coming together. Can’t wait share more of this fun project!

As a good portion of the country braces for winter storms and the possibility of burst pipes, I thought I would share some things I wish I had known prior to our home flooding in 2019. The flood taught me multiple lessons, including the gratitude I still feel for our easy access to clean water. But it was still overwhelmingly stressful, which I did not expect. The majority of our main level was affected, and we lost a lot of belongings to mold and contamination. Some lost things were superficial, like my favorite dress, while others were more meaningful, like the rug my husband brought back from his time overseas.

I hope these tips are helpful. Is there anything else you would recommend?

Always nice to revisit a project and see how a family lives with it day to day 💙🤍

I’ve finally reached the stage (or maybe age?) where I can be content enjoying other people’s Christmas posts without feeling like I’m falling constantly falling behind. This year, I’ve put energy into the things I feel are worth the time and effort, and I’ve let go of the things I felt I “had” to do. Sharing a few posts that have brought me joy this season. 🎄❤️

A busy, fall fun weekend ahead with 2 fall festivals, 1 costume party at church, 1 stroll through downtown to visit all the scarecrows, 1 thrift store shopping trip for the teen & friends, and more. October has flown by, so we are soaking up every minute of our favorite month. What are your plans?

We had an amazing time on our fall break trip to Colonial Williamsburg. My camera roll is full of inspiration, and I couldn’t quit geeking out over all the details - just ask my family and our tour guide, who asked if I’m an architect because I was so into it 😆

For those who don’t know, CW is the world’s largest living history museum. It was built in the 1920s-30s by Rockefeller, and is a faithful recreation of colonial times. 89 of the 300+ buildings are original. In addition to actors portraying historic figures, there is an active trades/craftsmanship program with modern-day apprentices producing real items using 18th century methods.

It was a wonderful trip, and I will share our recommendations for lodging, food, and shops/activities in stories.

I’m so excited to share my new logos. There have been a lot of changes to my business in the past year+, from pausing my work to care for ill family members to incorporating new processes to streamline and better organize my practices. When thinking about my logo and what I want it to convey, I kept coming back to happiness - I want the spaces I create to bring joy, to become places of respite and the backdrop of good memories. So it seemed fitting that a Chinese double happiness jar, in my favorite blue & white, represent my company. Here’s to finding little moments of joy whenever and wherever we can, and as always, thanks for following!
