and good day from Maine! I thought I would share another chapter (4 pages) of this Pennsylvania Dutch Cooking cookbook. Next up in The Dutch Cupboard . "COOKIES and SMALL CAKES!" (A plump wife and big barn never did any man harm) It was published in 1960 and contains a collection of time tested recipes for preparing many of the traditional foods and dishes, flavored by the Pennsylvania Dutch. They are delicious easy recipes, containing simple ingredients most of us already have in our pantries. I hope everybody has a good day. Please be well and happy cooking everyone!👩‍🍳❤️

Mississippi Pot Roast!
One chuck roast
One stick of butter
One packet of AuJus Gravy

There is something truly magical about the smell of onions hitting a hot, buttery skillet. For many of us, that scent brings back memories of Grandma’s kitchen on a Sunday afternoon. Today, I am sharing a timeless classic: my Granny’s Calves Liver and Onions smothered in rich, savory gravy.
Ingredients You Will Need

1 lb Calves Liver

2 Large White Onions

1/2 Cup All-Purpose Flour.

2 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter

2 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
