The Guardian just reported that paper goods could get hit hard by the Canada-U.S. tariff mess, including toilet paper and facial tissue stock.

Why?

Because a lot of traditional paper products still depend on wood pulp and lumber-heavy supply chains.

So if tissues are about to get more expensive anyway, I have a thought:

Maybe this is the time to stop paying more for the same thin, scratchy tissue in a disposable cardboard box.

I spent the day using one Blow Tissue just to prove a point.

Because when a tissue is soft 5-ply bamboo and actually holds up, one can do a lot more than you expect.

Blow your nose. Fold it. Use it again. Handle the little moments that would normally have you reaching for another thin tissue two seconds later.

This is the part people don’t always get until they try it.

Every tissue box wants to tell you it’s soft.

Okay. Show me the tissue.

Because if the tissue is still thin underneath, there is only so much lotion, aloe, or “ultra soft” copy can do.

That was one of the biggest product gaps I saw when I started building Blow Tissues. The softness could not just be something added on top. The tissue itself had to be better.

So Blow Tissues starts with soft 5-ply bamboo, then adds unscented lotion from there.

It feels smoother on your skin, holds up better, and doesn’t make you feel like you need to grab three just to survive one blow.

The tissue should be doing the work.

Not just the claim on the box.

I worked in fashion for almost 10 years, so the September issue was not just a magazine to me.

It was the thing.

The documentary. The covers. The styling. The whole cultural moment of it all. Very much a canon event.

So when Blow Tissues had the chance to be included in the September issue, I had to say yes.

Because somehow this very specific tissue company I built after leaving fashion and retail ended up bringing me right back to one of the parts of that world I loved most.

It feels like the weirdest, coolest combination of my life so far: good taste, everyday products, fashion brain, founder chaos, and a tissue brand that people told me was “just tissues.”

This is what happens when you stop treating everyday products like background noise.

A tissue can be soft enough to feel good on your skin, strong enough that you only need one, and beautiful enough to live in your space without being shoved behind a candle.

Working 9 to 5, then coming home and wondering why every tissue was either scratchy, ugly, or both.

So I did what any very normal person would do and started a tissue company.

Blow Tissues was built because I couldn’t find a tissue that felt good on my skin, didn’t leave my nose red and raw, and didn’t come in a box I immediately wanted to hide.

If price is your only standard, Big Tissue has plenty of options.
