Main Street Aurora expresses its deepest sympathy on the passing of local businessman Mike Becker. Mike has been an integral part of Aurora after opening Distinctive Knits Yarn Shop & Knitting Machines in 1997 on Second Street. After 28 years in our small business community, participating in events and with his daily treks to the post office, Mike will be sadly missed

Michael Becker, 73, of Aurora, Indiana, and Thunderbay Ontario, Canada passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025, in Edgewood, KY. He was born December 12, 1951, in Ontario, Canada, son of the late Frank Becker and June (Burrell) Jackson. Michael was a Professor at the University of Cincinnati. Michael is survived by his significant other, John Procas of Aurora, IN; son, Karl Becker; and sister, Chloe Dailgnealt. He was preceded in death by father, Frank Becker, and his mother, June Jackson. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to the PAWS. Totally accurate and is powered by a USB connector to your computer, or using an optional USB household current adapter (like you use on your cell phone).
