Texas Outdoor Lighting was founded in 2007 by Joel & Beth Mayor in Kyle, TX . Soon after being honorably discharged from the Navy, Joel found his passion for outdoor lighting while working with another designer in Virginia. He prides himself on having built the company with simple values of honesty, hard work, and integrity. He moved back to Texas in 2005 and soon started a family and the small business they run today. Joel and Beth now have three wonderful children who you may see from time to time helping their daddy on jobs at night, flashlights in hand.

One system. Any color. Any night.
These Lumien Lighting color-changing fixtures run as clean, classic landscape lighting most of the year — then shift to whatever the night calls for. Orange and black for Halloween. Red and green for Christmas. Team colors on Friday night. Patriotic for the Fourth.
Same fixtures. Same design. No extra strings of lights to hang.

Golden hour over Champion Ranch never gets old!
We’ve been lighting this Hill Country property for years. Designing, installing, and maintaining the warm architectural and landscape lighting that lets the buildings, drive, and waterfront glow without washing out the Texas sky.
Every visit is a reminder why we love the long-term work: keeping a place this special looking exactly the way it should, season after season.
Proud to keep Champion Ranch looking this good.

A lot of lighting systems don’t fail.

They just slowly get dirty, mis-aimed, or half-out.

That’s why we offer quarterly maintenance on the systems we install — a complete check and a thorough cleaning of all the fixtures so the design you paid for still looks like the design you paid for years later!

Give us a call today (512) 504-3030 to discuss maintenance options! We have an amazing full time dedicated service team to keep your system shining bright!

Texas Outdoor Lighting — still here after the install.

Texas sunsets are hard to compete with.

We still try.

Same ranch. Same sky.

Then the lighting comes on and the property finally looks finished after dark.

That’s the job — not overpower the Hill Country, just let you keep using it once the sun drops.

A property like this doesn’t just sit on the water, it commands it.

When the sun goes down, architecture this beautiful deserves to stay center stage. Beautifully designed landscape lighting turns a stunning estate into an unforgettable nighttime presence.

This beautiful lighthouse used to disappear into the night.

We added outdoor lighting so it can finally be enjoyed from the water after dark — lighting that lets the structure shine without overwhelming the view.

Nighttime is when this ranch becomes a statement.

Layered architectural lighting, landscape accents, and those bold blue palm uplights create a completely different experience after dark.

This is what thoughtful outdoor lighting looks like from above.

If you build it, we will light it.
