I think I found my next Cricut project! 🧶💕

This is the original logo for The Hip Ho**er. My husband, Jaime, bought me a sign with this logo when he was helping me get my crochet business started, and it still hangs on the door of my craft room/office today.

I’ve never wanted to change it. The retro 70s feel suits me, and knowing Jaime had a hand in those early days makes it even more special.

Now that I have my little Cricut, I think it’s time to put The Hip Ho**er on a T-shirt. ❤️

Sometimes creating means spending less time online.

Over the past few weeks, I've been enjoying the quiet rhythm of yarn moving through my hands, one stitch at a time. This baby blanket is one of the pieces that came from that season.

As I've continued creating, I've realized that The Hip Ho**er is becoming more than a place to share finished crochet projects. It's becoming a place to share the stories, inspiration, and creative process behind each piece.

Whether I'm making a cozy blanket, experimenting with a new stitch, or working on fiber art for an exhibition, every project begins with the same intention: to create something that brings comfort.

I'm excited to share more of that journey with you.

Happy Independence Day! ❤️🤍💙

Today I’m sharing a piece that means a lot to me.

I created this work for the America250 juried exhibition. It wasn’t selected, but that doesn’t diminish what it represents to me.

When I look at our country, I see a nation that has experienced division, hurt, and uncertainty. The red stitches crossing the boundary between the blue and cream symbolize healing. They represent the hard work of repairing what has been torn apart, one stitch at a time.

As a fiber artist, I believe yarn can tell stories that words sometimes cannot. Every stitch in this piece was placed with intention, carrying the hope that even when things seem broken, they can still be mended.

Whether we agree on everything or not, I hope we never stop believing that kindness, respect, and compassion can bring people back together.

Today we celebrate America’s past, honor those who built it, and look forward with hope for its future.
