Renowned Artists are taking over Maggie Maes Austin for a night! ➡️ and for another three months after that ;)

✋🫟 Live body painting, a full art exhibit, and live music with Kaytee Klink (Kaytee Klink) all night — this is the opening of “Only Human,” a show built for the kind of art that usually gets turned away for nudity.

​🎨 6-10 PM: Alena Duckworth (Alena Marie) and Eddy Reyna (Eddy Reyna 🌹 | Texas Artist) will be painting live on the second stage
🎙️8-10 PM: Live music with Kaytee Klink (Kaytee Klink) on the front stage.

🌕 ALL NIGHT:
- custom themed-drinks 🍹
- audience art raffles (more on that soon) 🎫

​The exhibit itself stays up at Maggie Mae’s through December 12th, which will also have a closing reception show.

​(Come early if you want to actually see the art before it gets crowded!)

Honey+Fatale is dedicated to creating handmade couture garments for the soft and feminine, fueling a more thoughtful fashion culture centered around quality, longevity, and kindness. These designs are a testament to the belief that fashion should be more than just clothing — a statement of values and a commitment to the future.

As a designer, they gravitate towards romantic silhouettes and recycled textiles. Honey+Fatale is here to prove that fashion can be both luxurious and kind to our planet!

Elly Abels is known for bringing retro and recycled art to fashion in a sustainable way. They have a passion for creating one-of-a-kind fashion pieces by using recycled or thrifted materials. Their fashion is super colorful AND sustainable!

Re:Birth is a collaborative collection from the creative minds of Sora Ahmad and Elly Abels. Inspired by Mother Earth, this collection explores the beauty found in the unruliness of nature. Using recycled textiles and upcycled clothes, this collection grew from discarded waste and bloomed into natural beauty. This is a renewal of slow fashion and shows the future of both sustainable and modest fashion.

Counting down to The Ma’ama Jam & Draw King Bee this Tuesday Aug. 18! ❤️‍🔥 This is a special one — in addition to providing art supplies and sound setup at the open mic, we’ll also have FREE resources to write letters and emails opposing destruction in Big Bend for a “border wall”. 🖤

It’s up to us how connected and beautiful our world is. We learn that from this community all the time. Let’s make a better world!
