Austin, you did it again! 💐🏆 We’re incredibly excited to share that Freytag’s Florist has been voted Best Florist in Austin for the 14th year!

Last night, our team celebrated at the Best of Austin Awards, hosted by the Austin American-Statesman and Austin Monthly. We enjoyed some of the best food and drinks Austin has to offer, mixed and mingled with fellow local businesses, and celebrated a pretty special night for Freytag’s. 🌸✨

To everyone who voted for us, ordered flowers, recommended us to a friend, or supported our local Austin flower shop over the years, thank you! Your continued love and support mean more to our team than we can say.

Turns out, flowers aren’t just pretty to look at. 🌷 Research suggests they may actually help brighten our mood, encourage connection, and make an ordinary day feel a little better.

In research from Rutgers University, women who received flowers responded with genuine smiles and reported more positive moods days later. Another experiment found that both men and women showed more positive social behavior after receiving a flower.

Do we need another reason to keep fresh flowers around? We don’t think so. 💐

Buy them for someone you love. Put a bouquet on your desk. Brighten up the kitchen. Or buy yourself flowers simply because it’s Tuesday.
