Happy National Manufacturing Day!

So much work goes into a project before it ever reaches the jobsite. Behind every door, piece of trim, and finished room are people who spend their days making things well, and we’re so grateful for them.

Tri-Supply is proud to work with these folks, along with the builders, homeowners, and designers who bring it all to life. It’s a big part of what makes this work meaningful to us, and we’re thankful to be a part of it.

In Texas, shade has to be part of the infrastructure for outdoor design.

A beautifully designed courtyard, rooftop, or pool deck has limited value if residents avoid it for much of the year because of direct sun and extreme heat. That makes shade one of the most important considerations when planning multifamily outdoor spaces.

And one shade solution may not be enough.

Layering elements such as umbrellas, pergolas, and cabanas can create different levels of coverage throughout a space while also helping define how individual zones are used. Dining areas may need one approach, while lounge spaces, poolside seating, or larger gathering areas may require another.

Shade should also be considered alongside material selection, airflow, orientation, and even finish color. UV-resistant materials help products withstand prolonged exposure, while lighter finishes and thoughtful placement can help reduce heat retention and improve resident comfort.

The more comfortable a space is during the hottest parts of the year, the more opportunities residents have to actually use it. For Texas multifamily projects, designing for shade from the beginning can help turn outdoor amenities from seasonal showpieces into functional, high-use spaces that deliver value throughout the year.

The holidays are coming... and they can put your kitchen into overdrive, from prepping big meals to tackling the cleanup afterward. A workstation sink can help organize all of that chaos and make your kitchen feel more functional than ever.

Options like the KOHLER Synthos and Riverby add built-in functionality right at the sink, creating dedicated space for prepping, draining, drying, serving, and more. The result is a kitchen that works more efficiently during its busiest moments while still delivering a clean, elevated look.

Whether you prefer the refined flexibility of Synthos or the timeless durability of Riverby, a workstation sink can be a smart upgrade for a kitchen designed to handle real life.

Visit a Tri-Supply showroom today to look at options and chat with one of our experts about what is the best fit for your kitchen.

Outdoor amenities aren't just a nice-to-have in multifamily development. As apartment units become more compact, thoughtfully designed shared spaces can expand the resident experience without adding square footage to the individual unit. They become a true "third space" where residents can connect and relax.

It's easy to focus on what can fit in these additional spaces, but a successful outdoor amenity should begin with the question, “How will residents actually use this space?”

That may mean creating distinct zones for dining, conversation, quiet work, fitness, or relaxation. It may mean improving the connection between indoor and outdoor areas through better sightlines and access. It's also important to think about flexibility so the space can evolve as resident preferences change.

As apartment units become more compact, thoughtfully designed shared spaces can expand the resident experience without adding square footage to the individual unit. The goal is to create an outdoor space that contributes to satisfaction, retention, and long-term property value. A space that residents will return to again and again!
