Beautiful finishes catch your attention.

Thoughtful design helps you imagine your life there.

From the open-concept living spaces to the carefully layered furnishings, this model was designed to feel comfortable, welcoming, and lived in without feeling overstyled.

That's what helps a house start feeling like home.

The best way to appreciate a transformation is to see where it began.

For Residences at Rubi, we refreshed this one-bedroom, one-bath model home with a brighter palette and a more cohesive mix of furnishings and finishes. Crisp whites created a clean, open foundation, while layered tones of greens, various wood accents along with some depth with black added color, warmth, and balance.

The home now feels fresh and relaxed without sacrificing the comfort that makes it welcoming.

A great short-term rental starts long before the first guest checks in.
A welcoming first impression sets the tone, especially when the space invites guests into a comfortable place to relax, gather and recharge. Planning your short-term rental with the guest experience in mind helps create that home-away-from-home feeling from the moment they arrive.

Redesigned this North Austin Clubhouse/Lounge area - we love making some of the existing items work in the new space by giving them a little love (and styling). For example, this coffee table was really beautiful but very stark while needing a new seating configuration for the residents.
Adding some warm tones with the rich velvet olive green sofa and smart pinstriped side chairs gave the room an elevated aesthetic.
Owners also loved the cool accent chairs (form and size) but not the teal blue, so we had them recovered in a neutral linen fabric - voila! Another trick was painting the interior of a tired fireplace black to keep it looking clean. It makes sense to retain a few pieces work where we can to keep from overspending for our clients! Love being part of these transformations!

Here's what no one tells you about....

Curtains can elevate a room—or quietly work against it.

One of the most common design mistakes is hanging the curtain rod directly above the window and allowing the panels to stop short of the floor. This can make the window—and the entire room—feel smaller.

The designer approach:

Hang the rod several inches above the window frame, or closer to the ceiling when the proportions allow.

For a polished finish, curtains should lightly “kiss” the floor or hover no more than half an inch above it. Avoid panels that end several inches too short—they can make even a beautifully designed space feel unfinished.

The right placement creates the illusion of taller ceilings, wider windows, and a more graceful, intentional room.

Luxury is often found in the details—and proper curtain length is one detail that changes everything.

Save this tip for your next room refresh.

Your guests arrive carrying the weight of the day—travel fatigue, full schedules, and the quiet frustration of a space that feels dated, disconnected, or simply forgettable.

Then, the shift.

The door closes. The pace slows. The room feels intentional, elevated, and entirely their own—a private retreat where they can exhale, reconnect, and experience the kind of comfort that makes a stay feel exceptional.

That transformation doesn’t happen by accident.

We bridge the gap between a property that merely accommodates guests and one that makes them feel considered at every turn—creating distinctive short-term rentals that elevate the guest experience, strengthen your brand, and inspire five-star stays.

Because luxury isn’t simply what guests see. It’s how your property makes them feel.

We love starting a project with a blank slate!! This client had a single entry table and we needed to make it really stand out. From one piece to Design Board to final outcome. Client made this arrangement to pull out all the colors in the new wallpaper installed. Gorgeous! Love when a plan turns into reality!!

We love a great Before & After photo shoot! This short term rental needed a facelift but needed to stay within the budget to prioritize the spaces of where best to spend the funds. Lightening up the spaces with new drapery in a neutral tone, adding accessories and bringing in new updated furniture pieces in made an immense impact. More photos on this fun project coming soon!!
