New Blog 🚨: Lately I’ve been thinking about the value of a good side quest.
Learning something just because you’re curious. Trying something you’ve always wanted to try. Being a beginner again without needing to immediately turn it into a goal, a business, or something you’re “good” at.
For me, that side quest has been learning Spanish.
And being a beginner again has taught me a lot about routines, confidence, self-doubt, encouragement, and simply continuing to show up.
One of the biggest lessons? Don’t let your fear become the way you think other people perceive you.
It reminded me that we’re often much harder on ourselves than anyone else is.
This is also why I love curating products that support everyday rituals. A journal, a notebook, a calming scent, a small reminder on your desk—these things don’t create success for us, but they can create space for us to show up.
I wrote more about my experience as a beginner, what learning Spanish taught me, and the lessons I’m carrying with me into this next season.
New blog is live (it’s been a few months since our last post ): What Learning Spanish Taught Me About Starting Something New.
And if you’re shopping for a student—or just want to be a good gift giver 😉—I also put together a collection of thoughtful back-to-school picks to support routines, focus, comfort, and encouragement.

💡 My virtual spanish class was with Austin Community College. Daily online study via Mango learning platform via Austin Public Library. Gratitude for accessible education and free library resources!
Have you done any side quests lately?
