~ Rent a GO RANCHERO | GOLF CART RENTALS CORONADO golf cart (they’ll pick you up right from the FlagshipSD ferry or drop it off at your hotel) and cruise around the adorable shops and restaurants on Orange Street.

~ Take a romantic ride around the marina with The Gondola Company.

~ Search for sand dollars and watch the surfers on the beach.

~ Little Frenchie - don’t miss the LeParisian hot chocolate served in a spiral croissant and top your entree with fresh raclette cheese!

Mango, Ginger + Fall Spices = the seasonal flavor combination you didn’t know you needed.

Skip the pumpkin spice and try this sweet spiced cake instead, the mango adds a sweet element that works beautifully with ginger.

Mango Ginger Upside Down Cake

2 mangos, sliced + chopped, divided
1 cup sugar, divided
1 1/4 cup brown sugar, divided
1/2 cup canola oil
1 stick butter, melted
2 large eggs
3/4 cup buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups flour
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon 2 tsp ground ginger, divided 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg 1/2 tsp all spice
Powdered sugar, for garnish

~ Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a high sided 9-inch cake pan with cooking spray
Line the bottom of the pan with circles of sliced mangos.
~ In a medium saucepan, combine ¾ cup of the brown sugar with 1 tsp of ground ginger and 2 tablespoons of water over medium-high heat.
Cook, shaking the pan if needed, until an amber caramel forms, about 6 minutes. Immediately pour over the mango slices in an even layer.
~ In a large bowl, whisk the remaining 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 cup granulated sugar, canola oil, butter, and eggs until smooth. Add the buttermilk and whisk until incorporated, followed by the vanilla extract.
~ Add the flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder, and remaining spices to the bowl and fold until just incorporated, then pour over the caramel-coated mangos. Bake until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 40-45 minutes.
~ Let cool 15 minutes, then run a paring knife along the edges of the cake. Place a plate over the cake pan and invert. Top with chopped mangos and powdered sugar. Let cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.

We’re loving the viral broth bowl trend!
We always keep our freezer stocked with Omaha Steaks ground beef (whether it’s ultra-premium, lean, or Wagyu ground beef) which makes whipping up meals like this super quick and easy.

This recipe is super versatile and really customizable - but this version of the recipe is a surefire winner:

Crispy Ground Beef
- 1 pound Omaha Steaks ground beef
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- Pinch of baking soda
- ⅓ cup soy sauce or tamari
- 3 Tbsp rice vinegar
- 3 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
- 3 cloves garlic, minced

Coconut Curry Broth
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tap freshly grated ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp red Thai curry paste
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 15 ounce can of coconut milk
- 1 tsp fish sauce
- 3 Tbsp soy sauce

1. Add a pinch of baking soda mixed with a splash of water to the ground beef and mix. Let sit for 5-20 minutes, this will help the ground beef to get crispy.
2. Add the toasted sesame oil to a large skillet and add the ground beef, salt, and pepper and let cook until brown.
3. Meanwhile mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, and rice vinegar.
4. Add the fresh garlic and ginger to ground beef and saute for 1 minute.
5. Add the sauce to the pan with the ground beef and mix together. Let cook, without stirring, until the sauce starts to caramelize, and the bottom of the ground beef gets crispy. Then remove the ground beef from the pan and set aside.
6. To make the broth, add more toasted sesame oil to the skillet and saute the garlic and ginger until fragrant, then add the red curry paste.
7. Mix and cook the paste for a minute and then add the beef broth, coconut milk, fish sauce, and soy sauce. Use a whisk to combine all ingredients and to scrape the bits off of the pan. Bring the broth to a gentle boil then reduce down to a simmer and let cook for 3 minutes.
8. To assemble the ground beef broth bowls, scoop rice into the bowl in a heap, then spoon in a heap of ground beef mixture. Ladle the broth in the bowl and top with cucumbers, scallions, and chili oil.
