We are pleased to offer this incredible late 18th-century French passoire platte en terre cuite (earthenware flat strainer).

These utilitarian pieces had numerous uses including as a strainer for Fruits and Berries, for draining large cheese curds for fresh cheeses, and/or for Herb and Salad preparation.

The rich apple-green to olive-green lead glaze (verissette) is quintessential southern and central French pottery, frequently associated with famous regional centers like Savoie, Provence, Uzès, or the Pyrenees region.

The holes were pierced individually by hand while the clay was damp, creating the slightly irregular, charming pattern visible across the plate.

Unlike a footed bowl colander (passoire à pied), the low gallery rim allowed it to rest flat over an earthenware basin, wooden tub, or sink basin.

This stunning piece is in fantastic overall condition and shows wear consistent with its age and use.

We are pleased to offer this beautiful Vintage Alabaster Bird Bath. This adorable piece boasts 3 distinct birds and a beautiful base. The birds are not removable and are attached to the piece. There are signs of mild wear consistent with age but the piece is in outstanding condition and boasts beautiful translucence when seen in the light.

We are pleased to offer this incredibly rare and stunning Antique French late 18th Century/early 19th Century rustic pottery double pot, historically known in France as a porte-dîner or a Shepherd”s Lunch Pail.

These pots were used by field workers, shepherds, and farmers in late 18th to 19th-century rural France to carry their meal out to the fields. The joined double-basin design allowed someone to carry two distinct food items—such as soup/stew in one side and bread, cheese, or salt in the other—using the central arched handle.

This incredible antique is crafted from coarse earthenware terracotta with a partial lead interior glaze. The distinctive forest green/emerald glaze on the inside and along the top rim helped seal the porous clay to make it watertight and easy to clean, while the exterior remained unglazed, showing natural firing marks and time-worn patina.

We are pleased to offer this incredibly rare and stunning Antique French Saint-Uze Confit Pot. St. Uze pottery originated from the Drôme region of France. This stunning stoneware is known for its cream-colored glaze and signature blue designs. This piece has stood the test of time and is circa late 19th to early 20th century.

Authentic pieces show gentle signs of history—delicate glaze crazing, light discoloration from aged fats, minor rim chips, or visible kiln marks. This piece has it all!

The bottom tureen portion is heavily stained throughout the interior and exterior. The lid is clean. The piece is in excellent condition.

We are pleased to offer this beautiful Antique French Saint-Uze Teapot. This piece is a fine example of French “Bleus de Saint-Uze” ceramicware, produced in the Drôme region of southeastern France (circa late 19th to early 20th century).

Featuring the signature cobalt blue stamped (stenciled) floral motifs over a warm off-white, light cream glaze. The delicate floral sprays along the belly and repeating garland along the rim and lid reflect rural French botanical design.

This piece presents a bulbous body with a high curved spout, molded thumb-rest handle, and classic dome lid topped with a knop finial.

Note that there is a chip to the insert portion of the lid, part of which is visible in the photo on the exterior. Otherwise, the piece is in great condition.

Measurements: 8 1/2” handle to spout x 7 1/2”h

We are pleased to offer this beautiful Antique late 19th-century French earthenware spice/sugar jar (pot à sucre) produced by the famous Faïencerie de Gien.

Labeled SUCRE (Sugar) across the front in bold blue serif letters, the surrounding scene depicts pastoral/agricultural figures working in fields with a pack horse/mule under tall stalks or trees.

These barrel-shaped spice and food jars were produced by Gien as part of matching kitchen storage sets (often including Sucre, Farine, Café, Poivre, Sel, Thé, etc.).

Measurements: 4 1/2” x 5 1/4”
