Did you know what goes UNDER your floor matters just as much as the floor itself? 🤯

Underlayment is the layer installed between your subfloor and your finished flooring, and it does a lot of work you never see.

🔇 It reduces sound transmission between floors, which matters a lot in two-story homes.

🌡️ It adds a layer of thermal insulation, making floors feel warmer underfoot in cooler months.

🦶 It creates a softer, more comfortable feel underfoot, and can keep flooring from sounding "hollow" when walking on it.

Skipping or cutting corners on underlayment is one of the most common ways a flooring project ends up feeling "off" after installation.
