So much this!

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼 𝗜 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘀𝗼 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗷𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀?

Because every “neat” moment you see in the ring - the clean flying change, the tidy rollback, the effortless distance - is built on a mountain of basics: rhythm, balance, straightness, clarity, repetition, and trust.

The real magic lives in the base of the pyramid - not the shiny bit at the top.

Advanced work only works when the foundations feel solid, repeatable, and understood by both horse and rider.
And that’s exactly what creates the horses who are genuinely 𝘧𝘶𝘯 to ride… the ones who jump easily, land balanced, turn like a dream, and both accelerate and wait when you ask.

So yes, I love riding the advanced stuff too.
But I love the basics more - 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦.

Molly's Saddle Giveaway 🤠
I won my first ever (Molly’s) buckle with my BLM mustang mare Samba. She was my 2019 MYWY Challege horse. This is the first of several mustangs I have started from the wild. Samba could t really use a saddle that fits her better. She is WIDE and very short back. I’ve been looking for a round skirt with no luck.

On the road to Branded Bonanza Idaho ! We’re not competing this year, but plan to in 2025. This year I will have a booth with all of Nessa and my crafts. Stop in and check out the mustangs if tpure ib the area!

Whiskey is home from her trip to Idaho Equine. Unfortunately, it ended up being a bigger and more expensive trip than originally planned. They believe she sustained a kick when she was younger and fractured her upper jaw. It didn’t heal quite right and food has been getting in there causing the bone to become infected.

The good news is she should make a full recovery and it won’t affect her ability to be an amazing horse!!! She will be on antibiotics for the next month and will be going back for a follow-up visit in July.

The bad news is the bill. 🤣 So this is a shameless post begging you to buy something from me. I do custom orders and have more ideas in the works! Let me know if you’d like anything, and I’ll get it made and sent to you! I’ll also be at the Branded Bonanza Idaho show next weekend with a booth full of fun horsey things!
