Today we are testing a new much smaller motor than we normally run. This one maxed out around 11.8 kW. We’re trying to see if we can get some longer range but still decent performance out of these electric motors. This motor seems to be a nice middle ground. The acceleration is good especially on the streets. This Dyno has a 1000 pound drum which is pretty significant. So the time it takes to get to max speed is much longer than on an actual road. This configuration is still faster than a GY6 especially off the line. We might play with this motor more in the future but it’s not as fun as our big motor.
