Stairs so nice, you'll have to look twice.

So much time and consideration went into the development of these stairs. It wasn't just finding these perfect leather tiles. It was deep thinking about the plaster detailing, how the metal rods finish into the risers, the exact curve of the railings, and of course the pattern, cut, and adhesion of the tiles.

This was our twist on the colorful tiles you might spot on a traditional Spanish staircase.

Introducing our newest hearthrob in progress . It's the biggest honor to help a family move back home to the Palisades. And quite honestly all I have personally wanted to do since returning from my design hiatus.

We're re-envisioning what once was with a modern interpretation that feels warm, grounded and primed for building new happy memories.

In a town thats under construction with years ahead to feeling "normal". Its so important that new homes feel like an oasis. Here's a peak at what we have in store for our Pali Modern breaking ground in June.

From Santa Barbara to LA. A mish-mash of spring things keeping us off our computers and grounded in real life. Including not one but TWO new babies. Thats right, Courtney is not the only newborn mom here, mine just happens to be of the fur variety.

A well appointed laundry that can do it all -- handling mounds of laundry, folding and ironing alongside an extra deep integrated sink for floral arranging, with ample towels at the ready for a pool-side dip. For this Laundry room it really is possible to have it all while looking absolutely lovely.

A little pattern and a touch of whimsy for the kids bedrooms. Connected by a Jack and Jill these rooms are as unique as the little humans that play and sleep in them. To create uniformity they are tethered by mirroring ceilings in distinctive patterns to feel cohesive as you pass by or through.

Forever a fan of ceiling wallpaper. Its the kind of "feature wall" we can get behind.

Welcome to my house.
Its been a journey to get here. Building this home for my family, from the ground up, has been the most fun and rewarding experience of my career.

We were so lucky to collaborate with a team of talented architects, builders, and craftspeople -- whose passion is evident in every detail. The entire process felt like design camp in the best way. We dreamed, we studied, we worked through hard situations and, as for Courtney and I, we came out stronger designers.

It's beginning to look a lot like (a crafty) Christmas! When theres so many fun vintage ribbons and papers to be found, how do you not turn them into ornaments? The vintage Gods even blessed me with cowboy tissue paper to feed my cowboy nostalgia obsession.
