I was working with a local paint manufacturer to have this color and 5 others made, but it never happened .. I was going to call it "Cumberland Yellow" named after my Grandma Irma's home painted in the same color, I only have about 6 ounces of it .. just enough to paint this plant stand ... what do you think ... it's a super pretty color isn't it?

I hope to see some of my favorite people at my sale September 19th and 20th , I know I have been quiet for a while. I have had some stuff that I had to work on that required my full attention and I wasn't feeling creative because of it... but I am trying to find that part of myself again, and this sale is helping me to have a deadline and I work best under pressure,I think you will love the decor and furniture I am working on!!

I recently finished this for a client, I have been inspired by Scandinavian styles lately and when she told me to do whatever I wanted ( and knowing she loves whimsy) I thought this would be a fun way to paint this piece. It also had many cracks in the veneer so the stencil covers the imperfections perfectly

This buffet means a lot to me, it's the first piece I ever painted in chalk paint, I painted it french gray with brown wax, as soon as I buffed the wax .. I knew I wanted in the world of furniture painting .. and with determination and drive that's exactly what I did. It's just been over a decade and 100's of pieces painted , over 100 classes taught, friends made and friends lost, and so much more .. there are many changes in my life right now and I don't know where my path will take me ( I wish clarity would come to me as a lightening bolt again .. but the universe isn't making it that easy this time ) So it is poetic that it sold this week, an end of an era maybe .. or a do over .. its open to interpretation I suppose ❤️

Full circle 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️that's a wrap .. 3 kids through the public school system, my oldest son started in the Baldwinsville school district in 2002!!!!!! 24 years of making lunches, running late every morning, ceremonies, classroom crafts ( my specialty) concerts,football practice , dropping forgotten homework,uniforms etc.. at the front office ( yes i was that mom and proud of it) beautiful beautiful chaos some good some bad and of course i can't help but think of my own years there,also some good but also lots of bad .. and we are done.

Sometimes you don't realize you are in your best years until you are looking back at them

The painting projects continue as the countdown to my daughters graduation party in a few weeks ... we painted the garage in graphite by Benjamin Moore, I was doubted by everyone per usual, with them then saying " I wasn't sure but wow it looks fantastic"
when will they trust me?
