A few big updates from a BIG week!
1 - most importantly I grew a peony the size of my whole head and it’s stunning
2 - we will have simple mixed bouquets AND peony bunches for sale .bread for Mother’s Day this weekend while supplies last.
3 - our friend Heather took a design class and brought us beautiful wearables for an impromptu sweaty photo shoot - such a great crew!
4 - cutie pansies are FINALLY getting a little taller
5 - cooler is stocked with extras for florist purchases all week long

GIVEAWAY ALERT! What could be better than free flowers from a local flower farm? Free flowers from THREE local flower farms.

Even tho the temps are cooling off this week, last week was in the 80s and next week will be in the 80s and our fields and fridges are flush with gorgeous blooms and foliage.

and are teaming up to offer a limited number of free buckets for florists!

The fine print:

•Must be a florist with an active floral design business (individuals are welcome to buy bulk buckets, inquire for details)
•Must be on our availability list to enter (link in profile if you aren’t already signed up)
•We ask that you design with these flowers in the next few days while they’re fresh and share some photos of your creation
•Tag us in your photos and share them
•Buckets will be grower’s choice and may include: tulips, hellebores, foliage, quince, snowdrops, daffodils, and more
•DC/Annapolis pick-up available Thurs or Charles Village pick up Thurs, Fri, Sat

The annual wreath making end-of-season party has become such a fun tradition. I supplied the evergreens and bases, lots of folks brought dried flowers and other additions and we all got to have fun making something creative for ourselves and celebrate the end of a fruitful season. Add in some dinner and a warm fire and it was a cozy vibe.
We couldn’t do any of what we do without these amazing people! Our field crew, the farms we sell for, our seedling grower, partners and kiddos, it was a FULL HOUSE!

It’s bucket amnesty week! Calling all florists, DIY wedding couples, friends and neighbors: we need buckets so we can keep providing you with gorgeous blooms this spring.
We don’t charge bucket deposits or use any complicated tracking system, we just trust you! To keep operating with this simple and easy approach we need your help getting all our missing buckets back. They don’t even need to be our buckets, WE’LL TAKE ANY AND ALL BUCKETS!

NEXT SATURDAY 11/15 // 10a-1p annual tulip planting and community cookout

join us for our annual volunteer work day and community cookout. Learn how we plant many thousands of tulips in one day, spread some compost and help us tuck in the garden for the winter. Planting will be followed by a free neighborhood cookout with veggie and meat options. Come to volunteer or come to eat lunch — or both! Kids are welcome. Please bring gloves, a water bottle, and close-toed shoes. Note there’s no bathroom on site.
