So excited to be showcasing knives at the great Smoky Mountain Knife Works outside of Sevierville, TN.

If you’re on I-40 between Nashville and Asheville this place is a must stop. SMKW gave birth to the “Knifeworks” in our name following a 2015 visit. So to say it’s special to officially be working together is an understatement!

Take a look at our NC Pack knives and Survivors coming off the line at NJ Steel Baron, LLC.

These blanks come in-house precision water jet cut from AEB-L stainless/high carbon steel. From there I bring the blank to life by hand grinding, forging, in-house heat treat, sharpening and custom sheath fitting.

Building a precision tool that will last for generations is a long process, one that begins well before the steel reaches our shop. A high-performance alloy like AEB-L must be carefully engineered, produced, rolled, and handled by people who understand what makes steel perform. Every step matters, from the first combination of raw elements to the finished blade. That’s why we work with trusted suppliers like New Jersey Steel Baron, whose knowledge and attention to detail give us the quality material we need to do our best work.

Love this video from Original Grills! They made the trek up to our Banner Elk showroom to pick up their knives in person. Great to see you guys!

Check out their amazing store in Durham, NC and see our new custom knife case!

Purple Heart is an amazing wood from Central America. It ranks high on the Janka hardness scale and obviously shows a brilliant color. But that purple only comes out after exposure to oxygen. It’s amazing to watch the transition over the first 24 hours post-sculpting of the handle.
