There is something about a Featherweight that just does it for quilters. ๐Ÿค

Today was Featherweight Day and the shop was full of the best kind of energy โ€” vintage machines humming, good people, great projects.

If you know, you know. And if you don't know yetโ€ฆ you're going to want to come find out. ๐Ÿ˜„

Cutting Tip #3 โ€” and this one honestly changed everything for me. ๐Ÿ™Œ

If your ruler is slipping while you cut โ€” please, hear me out: get the grippies.

Little adhesive dots or grip tape on the back of your ruler make it stay put while you cut. Game. Changer. No more wiggling, no more crooked cuts, no more frustration.

One of my little tips โ€” add them to every ruler you own. You'll never go back. ๐Ÿ’›

Save this + share it with your quilting bestie who needs this info. ๐Ÿ‘‡

Christmas fabric in June? Absolutely. ๐ŸŽ„

The best holiday quilts aren't started in November.

We're loving Gingerbread Lane paired with the Wrapped quilt pattern. The gift blocks, the cozy colors, the little holiday detailsโ€”it feels like wrapping up everything we love about the season into one quilt.

And if you're anything like me, Christmas sewing sneaks up faster than expected.

Would you make this as a Christmas quilt, a wall hanging, or a gift?

Tell me belowโ€”which print from Gingerbread Lane is your favorite?

Whatโ€™s Up Whatโ€™s New

Cutting Tip #2 โ€” not all rulers are created equal. ๐Ÿ“

Here's the deal: if your ruler has thick, chunky printed lines โ€” you're guessing. And guessing is how blocks end up a littleโ€ฆ off.

Look for rulers with thin, precise lines. That way, you know exactly where you're cutting, every single time.

Don't overthink this โ€” just look at your ruler before you buy it. Thin lines = more accuracy = less frustration. You've got this. ๐Ÿ’›

Save this for your next ruler shopping trip! ๐Ÿ›’

Real talk โ€” when did you last change your rotary blade? ๐Ÿ‘€โœ‚๏ธ

A dull blade can cause skipped cuts, frayed edges, and make cutting feel harder than it should.

In today's video I'm showing how I change my blade and one simple way to dispose of old blades safely.

Quick question:
Do you change yours on a schedule, or only when you notice it's getting dull?

Save this as your reminder. You're welcome โ˜บ๏ธ

Projects you'll actually use.

Let's be honest โ€” we all have quilts stacked up waiting to be finished. But this? This Boxy Tote gets done โ€” and then you get to use it every single day.

Our Boxy Tote class is coming up and spots are filling. It's beginner-friendly, it's fast, and you leave with a finished bag in hand. No "I'll finish it later" vibes here.

Cutting Tip #1 โ€” and this one is a game changer.

Here's the deal: your cutting mat is for protecting your table. Your ruler is for measuring your fabric. They are not the same job, friend.

One of my little tips โ€” always line up your ruler to your fabric, not to the lines on your mat. Your mat can shift. Your ruler won't lie to you.

Save this one. You'll thank yourself later. ๐Ÿ’›

More cutting tips coming all month long โ€” follow along so you don't miss them!
