MAJOR LIFE UPDATE:

My husband and I will be moving back to Minnesota this summer to be closer to family. I'm going to miss the community we've built here in Oregon so much!

I was hoping to be able to continue classes into April, but getting ready for the move has turned out to be much more time consuming than I originally planned. Thus, this Saturday's leaf impression class will the last class I will be teaching at Westside Artwerks :(

When Monika (the owner of Westside Artwerks) gets back from vacation, we're going to try to find a new pottery teacher. There will also be a lot of other artists teaching classes this spring and summer--including some new painting classes and potentially some glass and soap making classes.

I'm working on getting my pieces into some new shops around the Portland metro, and I will continue to do pottery in Minnesota---so if you ever find yourself out that way, please get in touch.

Looking for a fun Friday activity?

Take the Wall Hanging Class this Friday February 10th from 6-7:30 at Westside Artwerks in Downtown Beaverton. After class, there are a bunch of places to great great food or drinks, including The Sudra Loyal Legion Oregon, Ex Novo Brewing, Syndicate Wine Bar - Beaverton, among others.

This is a great class to take for people who want to learn more about adding texture and depth to a piece or who want to spend more time painting a piece.

Not interested in making a wall hanging? With the techniques you learn in class, you could also turn your piece into a trivet or a spoon rest.

$25/ person. You'll get to make and paint the piece during the hour and a half. Cost includes clay, glaze, instruction, access to all the tools you need, and the cost of firing.
