🌿 What an amazing Opening Day at the Belchertown Farmers Market! 🌿

The market was busy with so many wonderful vendors, smiling faces, and an incredible sense of community. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to shop, chat, and support local businesses.

One of my favorite parts of market days is hearing customers tell me, “I just burned the last of my candle!” or “I need another car diffuser!” There is nothing better than knowing the products I create are being enjoyed in your homes, cars, and everyday lives. Those conversations truly make all the hard work worth it.

What Does “Clean Fragrance” Mean at Barton Beeswax Candles?

One of the questions I get asked most often is:

“What kind of fragrances do you use in your candles?”

At Barton Beeswax Candles, I use premium fragrance oils that are carefully selected to meet strict clean fragrance standards. I believe in choosing fragrance oils that avoid many of the ingredients commonly associated with health and environmental concerns while still providing the strong, beautiful scents my customers love.

What Our Clean Fragrances Are Formulated Without

The fragrance oils used in our candles are designed to exclude:

• Chemicals identified by California Proposition 65 above established Safe Harbor limits
• Over 125 chemicals recognized by OSHA as potentially harmful
• Antimicrobials banned by the FDA
• Ingredients associated with carcinogens (known or suspected cancer-causing substances)
• Mutagens (substances known to alter DNA)
• Reproductive toxins
• Organ toxins
• Acute toxins
• Endocrine disruptors that may interfere with hormone function

Why This Matters

When I started Barton Beeswax Candles, my goal was simple: create candles I felt good about burning in my own home and sharing with others.

That’s why every candle is made with a premium coconut and beeswax blend, clean fragrance oils, and natural cotton or wood wicks. Beeswax is known for its long burn time and naturally clean-burning properties, while coconut wax helps provide an excellent scent throw and smooth finish. Cotton and wood wicks are carefully selected to provide a clean, consistent burn.

While no scented candle is completely free of all chemicals, I believe the ingredients you choose matter. By selecting cleaner fragrance options and quality candle-making materials, I can offer a product that aligns with my commitment to craftsmanship, transparency, and creating a cozy home environment.
