Heather is teaching two different spinning classes this month! Here you see the set up for her two-session wheel spinning class on June 13th & 20th (1:30-3:30pm). You could also take Heathers drop spindle spinning class on June 13th & June 20th (11am-12pm), each session teaches you how to spin then how to ply and process your work! Check out our website for all of the details, part of the wheel class includes the rental wheel to practice your new skill, but anyone can rent a wheel.

New product! You can get one of these recycled wool inserts (front, dark gray) for your planters this spring/summer! Felted from 100% recycled wool material, then cut and sewn to hold the soil, with insulative benefits, offering a natural recycled alternative.

ALSO! We have recycled jute coffee bag liners as well (photo 2) with the liner included to retain moisture. Also designed for hanging baskets, these offer a lovely method to garden and decorate using recycled materials from a small business.

Want to customize your current garments? Use Jacquard Procion MX Dye! This is a cold water fixative for cellulose dyeing (plant fibers + silk). This dye is often used for shibori, ice dyeing, tub and low water immersion dyeing, printing, direct painting and or whatever other dye applications.

We wanted to share a quick update and another giant thank you for all of the absolutely amazing support you have been showing us over the past month. Between your donations (www.gofundme.com/f/support-northwest-yarns-mercantile), your shopping, and all the sharing you've done on our behalf, you've helped put us in a much stronger position than we were when we first launched this fundraiser.

So many of you have stepped up so far to help, and we are incredibly grateful.

We also want to let you all know how much your shopping has meant to us. Donations have been and continue to be an amazing help, but the continued support of our customers is what allows a small business like ours to keep going for the long haul. Every skein of yarn, every loom, every spinning wheel, every event registration, and every online order helps us continue to be here for you and the rest of our community.

This sea of beautiful hand crafted spindles was brought to you by Joel Grinstead.
Each of these was made with a combination of wood as labeled, to create intricate designs in variously sized and weighted Turkish Drop Spindles. While the stained fir (front, with pink yarn) is undeniably gorgeous, the rainbow details in many of these adds the perfect touch to any spinning project.
