Down to every detail ✨

That's how we approached this beautiful Bellingham great room, and it shows in the finished space ☀️🌲

We chose Hunter Douglas Architectural 5% solar shades in Pearl Grey to soften the bright sun and glare while keeping the view to the treetops and the hills wide open. The room stays bright, calm and comfortable all day long.

And the details make it. Each shade has a slim black fascia that hides the roller and matches the black window frames exactly, so every window and the slider share one clean, tailored look. Measured, matched and installed with care, down to every detail.

One of the best things about living in this part of the Pacific Northwest is the view.

Maybe it's Bellingham Bay, Lake Whatcom, Mount Baker, the islands, farmland, or simply the trees outside your windows.

If you don't want to cover that view but need help with bright afternoon sun and glare, solar shades can be a beautiful solution.

We put together a new guide explaining how solar shades work, the difference between 1%, 3%, and 5% openness, fabric colors, motorization, and what to consider before choosing yours.
