It is full steam ahead from now until the end of the year! The Fall Crawl is this Saturday from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm. Many of the businesses are hosting vendors in their buildings. (Whistle Stop is scheduled to host four!) and there will be food trucks and music too. Some of the businesses will close at 5:00 pm, but we will stay open at least until 5:00 and later if we continue to have shoppers Saturday evening.
Next week we have a Junk Journal class on Thursday Sept. 17 and will focus on using different inks and pigments and other techniques to alter papers for your projects. Railroad Days will be Saturday September 19 at the train behind my shop.
Saturday October 3 Tyler Gregory will perform at Whistle Stop (an event and more details will post soon). AND, House of Hamill will play their Celtic music at Whistle Stop on Saturday November 14 (more details and an event post soon!). Still in the future are our Holiday Open House, Trunk or Treat and Trick or Treat on Main Street, and more!! Keep watching for more and I will also have printed schedules in the shop by the end of the week.

Tyler Gregory will play at Whistle Stop on Saturday October 3rd! He will play our favorites as well as some new songs that will be on his next recording. If you would like to join us for an evening of great people and wonderful music, contact Sally for details and to reserve your spot. The shop number is 816-322-0200. Seating is limited.

Ready for another Monday on Main and somehow it is the last day of August! The Fall Crawl on Main Street will be on September 12 and that will be here before we know it. I am excited to host several vendors in my shop for the event.
There are several areas in the shop that are having sales this week, so watch for signs and reduced prices on some of the furniture pieces. We have also gotten more new things in again so I am trying to juggle changing out the windows and getting the new things cataloged, priced, and out in the shop.
We also have two concerts coming up….early October will be Tyler Gregory and Mid November will be House of Hamill! I am really looking forward to both of these.

Monday on Main Street! We have sales in a couple of spaces in the shop, I am pricing new things as fast as I can, and we are changing out windows and going full speed into fall. I am ready for the beautiful colors of fall and I am more than ready for milder weather. I am picking up several pieces of pretty old furniture this week and going to look at more pieces on Tuesday, so I will reduce a few pieces that are in the shop to make room for more.

Monday on Main Street tomorrow! This past week was very busy and a lot of fun with quite a few new shoppers and a few big pieces of furniture moving on to new homes.
House of Hamill will be in concert at Whistle Stop Antiques on Saturday November 14th! I saw this American/ Canadian Irish/Folk trio play at Folk Alliance and loved their music.
I will post details of the concert plus dates of some upcoming events for the shop as soon as they are confirmed. My 17th Autumn and Christmas season at Whistle Stop are coming up fast! Hope to see you soon.

Tomorrow is already a new Monday on Main! We will have sales in a few of our areas throughout the shop AND some new things came in today, so Monday shoppers get the first peek at them! There are several Autumn pieces and at least fifteen beautiful old perfume bottles in very nice condition!
September 12 there will be a Fall Crawl on Main Street. There will be several vendors with their products that will be hosted at some of the shops on Main Street. We will have some at Whistle Stop and the event will run from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm. There will be some food trucks in addition to my neighboring Main Street eateries. This is a great reason to get the display windows changed and make sure all my fall things are out and ready to go!
I also have a fantastic concert booked for November and will share the details later this week.

It was a busy Monday on Main Street and a wonderfully fun day today! There are still lots of things to catalog, price, and arrange. I am taking a day off tomorrow to catch up on things (including sleep). Steve will keep the shop open as usual, so stop by and see what’s new at Whistle Stop Antiques!
