🍂 A Little Update! 🍂

It feels so good to be back at My Giving Tree Gift Shop & Gallery! ❤️ I’m doing much better, walking without a walker, and slowly getting back to work a few hours at a time.

A very special thank you to my daughter Jamie for stepping in and running the store while I’ve been out. And a huge thank you to all of my family for their love, help, and support throughout my recovery. I’m so grateful!❤️

We’re still working behind the scenes on our expansion, and we’ll be announcing the REVEAL DATE soon! 🎉

Our Fall & Halloween window is ready! 🍁🎃 We hope y’all love it, and I can’t wait to see everyone again soon!

🌳 A Little Update… and a Sneak Peek! 👀

Hello, my wonderful friends and customers!

I wanted to give you all an update. I was released from the hospital late yesterday evening after a lengthy stay, and I am so grateful to finally be home. I’m doing well, but this was a major surgery, and it will take several months to fully recover.

Because of that, you probably won’t see me around the store for a while. But don’t worry! My amazing daughters will be at My Giving Tree to welcome you and help you with anything you need while I focus on healing.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for every prayer, kind message, visit, and word of encouragement. It has been shared with me how many of you have stopped by to check on me and sign my get well card. Your love and support have lifted my spirits more than you’ll ever know and have given me the strength to keep moving forward one day at a time.

And now… here’s a little sneak peek of something that’s waiting for you in our new addition. 🌳✨

This beautiful tree is just one small glimpse of what’s been happening behind the scenes. We’re so excited to share the completed space with all of you! We haven’t scheduled our grand reveal just yet, but as soon as everything is finished and I’m well enough to attend, we’ll announce the date.

Until then, thank you for your patience, your prayers, and for being such an important part of the My Giving Tree family. I can’t wait to welcome you into this beautiful new space.

A Little Update From Me ❤️

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes transforming the store here at My Giving Tree, and now we’ve had a little unexpected setback!

I’ve spent the past three days in the hospital and ended up having an unexpected surgery. It looks like I’ll be here for another couple of days while I recover, but I’m doing well and looking forward to getting back on my feet soon!

On the bright side, at least I have a room with a view! 😊 And I have to say, the nurses and doctors have been absolutely wonderful and have taken great care of me.

Meanwhile, my wonderful family is holding down the fort at My Giving Tree and working hard behind the scenes to keep our transformation moving along.

Things may be taking us a little longer than we originally planned, but sometimes life has other plans! We’re still moving forward, still excited, and I can’t wait to get back and share our beautiful transformation with all of you.

👀 Sneek Peek! 👀 We’re buzzing away in our expanded store behind the scenes… and guess what?

New goodies are arriving every single day! Today alone, we welcomed a couple of pallets, and trust me, there is still so much more on the way! 📦✨

We’re working hard to get everything just right, and we can’t wait to share it all with you. Our Grand Reveal and 15 Year Anniversary Celebration is getting closer, and we’re hoping to announce the big date soon!

Today, I was visiting with one of my customers, CC, who has become a friend over the years. As I was giving her one of our charm bracelets to start her own bracelet, a gift I love sharing with my customers, we began talking about the joy of giving.

I shared the story of another very special customer who also became a cherished friend. Mrs. Hicks started shopping with me when I first opened My Giving Tree in 2011. Those early years were challenging, but she would faithfully come in and purchase anywhere from five to twenty car charms at a time. Her ministry was simple yet powerful. She gave them away to people God placed in her path.

Before long, people would walk into my store and say, “Mrs. Hicks gave me a car charm and told me about your shop.” She blessed so many lives, including mine.

She was one of the sweetest souls I’ve ever known, and when she passed away, her family asked me to create a special car charm for her. They placed it in her hand before saying their final goodbye. It was one of the greatest honors of my life.

To this day, I have an angel wing car charm tied with a purple ribbon, her favorite color, hanging from my rearview mirror. Every time I see it, I’m reminded of her beautiful spirit and the legacy of kindness she left behind.

As I was sharing this story with CC today, a gentleman who had been quietly shopping walked over, placed this beautiful coin on the counter, smiled, and simply said, “This is what I like to give.” Then he quietly walked out the door.

I felt goosebumps several times as we talked and especially when the gentleman left behind this coin.

God has such a beautiful way of reminding us that His love is often shared through the kindness of ordinary people. A small gift, a thoughtful word, or a simple act of generosity can touch a heart in ways we may never fully know.

Today was one of those days that reminded me that giving creates a ripple effect. One act of kindness inspires another, and another. My heart is full, and I am so very grateful.

Thank you, Mrs. Hicks, for teaching me that giving is one of the greatest ministries of all. Your legacy continues to live on. ❤️

When this beauty pulled up in front of My Giving Tree, I couldn’t resist snapping a picture. There’s just something about a bright red sports car that makes you smile!

No, it isn’t mine… but a girl can dream! 😄
