Prairie Girl Candle Co. Prairie Girl soybean wax candles are handmade on the Prairie of Nebraska using environmentally friendy ingredients. Why Soy?

Growing up on the Prairie, I have a deep & abiding love for it & the salt-of-the-Earth type people who make it their home. I have tried to create a candle line with scents that capture the memories & nostalgia that surround it's unique heritage. I also wanted a product that makes you feel good about your purchase. Its not only environmentally friendly, it also supports the American farmer by using soy wax. Preserving the prairie & supporting the people of it is what this company is all about. Soybean wax is cleaner burning with absolutely no toxins, carcinogens or pollutants, which means it's less likely to trigger allergies. It also means no petrol-carbon soot like you get from petroleum-based paraffin candles. They are longer lasting because soy wax burns cooler which means that you can enjoy your soy wax candle for generally 30-50% longer than a paraffin candle. Soywax is biodegradable, sustainable and water-soluble. Using soybean wax also stimulates the economy by supporting the American farmer and creating jobs on US soil.
