We are very sad to announce that after 6 and a half years in our beautiful Berkeley store we are getting ready to close our doors on Sunday November 17th.
We loved being a part of the vibrant Gilman District and meeting so many of our wonderful neighbors as well as all of the customers from around the globe!

About Uchi

Long time former employee of The Wooden Duck, Yo Akino, has inherited the prized teak garden furniture contact in Indonesia that was the original heart and base of The WD business, and will continue to offer up the same quality furniture for the same reasonable pricing at her new store, UCHI.

We hope to build on that base and create a fun and innovative home store that is also affordable and practical with a touch of whimsy. Our goal is to find unique products that may not be easy to find online and highlight local artisans. We want our store to be a space where we can share our love of color, texture and designed ambiance.
