DESIGN DESTINATION //

Obsessed with the cinematic details inside The Newman in London.✨

This stunning Art Deco-inspired interiors by , mixes Victorian character with sleek 1920s elegance in the most effortless way. Soft curves, reflective steel, warm lighting — every detail feels intentional.

Even better, the hotel pays tribute to Fitzrovia’s legendary creative scene, honoring the artists and thinkers who defined the area from the 1920s–1950s.

London design lovers, this one’s worth bookmarking.

This home located on the cliffs of Dover Heights in Sydney, Australia is an exercise in soft modern forms, color drenching, collectible design, and restraint. Designed by one of our favorite firms in the world Dancing on the Ceiling is a project that refuses to take itself too seriously into a vivacious, ocean-facing party house for a family who clearly knows how to live well.

Like many of you, we didn’t attend this year in Milan, but quietly followed along and were inspired by the new work shown by artists and design brands. Our favorite is this new collection by at .milano pairing sculptural metal forms with a soft, textile backdrop, where alpaca metal is shaped through heat, pressure, and time. These sculptural artifacts are also furniture meant to be used and loved.

Who says you can’t be whimsical, chic and touch surreal at the same time time? This apartment designed by .bureau has nods to Italian ’70s design, art deco curves, and retro-futurist accents, and creates a world that feels both imaginative and deeply livable.

As we wrap up the interior architecture phase of our Tiburon waterfront project here in the Bay Area, we have been very focused on texture, materiality, casework and stone details. This project in Sydney, Australia (oh those Aussies!) has been on my mind lately as it takes layering textures to an art form, foregoing the easy trend of white oak and oft repeated details for something a lot more intricate and interesting. Who says layered neutrals has to be boring? If done right it’s a timeless symphony of form and feeling. The typology here is very similar to SF’s - wouldn’t it be amazing to see more houses in the Bay Area done to this level of detail?

“At Clay House, both architect and client gravitated toward the same ideals: natural materials, longevity and a reverence for craft. When homeowners Park and Pichel approached Muci to reimagine their narrow terrace in Sydney’s Woollahra Heritage Conservation Area, an immediate alignment formed.

Having lived in the late-Victorian home for several years, the couple understood its limitations, dim interiors, awkward circulation and a floor plan shaped by decades of incremental additions. What followed was a careful rethinking of how material, structure and sequence could resolve the house as a whole.”

Miami Beach, Pine Tree Estate. We started on the redesign of this estate in winter 2021 during the pandemic and continued working on it until spring 2023. The project was a gut renovation down to the studs of a previous home that was previously designed by architect & developer For the redesign, we led the interior design, interior architecture and also the facade design of this estate that was 13,000 plus square feet with a planned design of a new wing bringing it to almost 18,000 square feet. I brought on as the contractor, and as the lighting designer. We also worked with on exterior landscape.

We worked closely with the owner, who is an avid art collector and supporter of the arts, to create and execute our conceptual narrative of this sanctuary home and tropical oasis. The dappled light and wind blowing through the tropical breeze connect the interior to the exterior, and move slowly with the ephemeral elements to inspire moments of quiet contemplation. Custom design elements include: hand carved wood doors, custom fireplaces and plaster reliefs, limewash walls, natural stone bathrooms. These elements are juxtaposed with sumptuous soft furnishings and materials. Inside of the home’s modern rectilinear footprint, is a decidedly soft and sinuous landscape of furnishings and art.

Conceptual art, craft, organic modernism, futurism and materiality are the central themes of the estate, featuring a mirrored guest house & art pavilion by the water and a new glass enclosed pavilion off the koi pond for entertaining, featuring wine storage, lounge for tastings, and gaming area. Key architectural highlights include a breathtaking 3 floor sculptural plaster spiral staircase, a fluted marble master bath, and custom bathrooms featuring stone, plaster, and brass fixtures. The project also features a theater, wellness spa with steam and sauna, and a gym.

DESIGN DESTINATION // Rosewood Courchevel
is the new stunning ski-in/ski-out hotel designed by seamlessly blending rustic alpine charm with modern, sculptural furniture and sumptuous textures. This extraordinary retreat reimagines the glamour of Courchevel’s 1960s golden age while embracing the vibrant spirit that has long defined the French Alps. Easily the most gorgeous designed alpine hotel we have ever seen. “We approached the project as though we were creating a private mansion chalet rather than a traditional hotel. The idea was to capture the glamour of the mountains while transporting guests into another world—a place where every space invites them to experience and discover something beyond the expected.” -Tristian Auer

39 floors up, this Beverly Hills penthouse skips the glossy high-rise clichés and opts for cozy couture instead. 💫 Anchored by vintage icons, turns the space into a grounded sanctuary, layering shearling, mohair, and walnut joinery to soften edges and absorb light. Add in custom pieces from LA showrooms, like the HAOS 20.01 armchair and a bespoke Apparatus chandelier, and you’ve got tailored proportions and quiet luxury in every corner. ✨
