Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. Take flooring, for example. A mishmash of flooring types on the same level is incongruous and eliminates good flow. Having a single type, or not more than two types, of durable and attractive flooring throughout any given level is the first step in creating a cohesive look in your space.
