42 years around the sun today. It’s crazy to think about. Today has got me thinking about life. If you’d have asked me a mere few months ago, I would’ve been that same anxiety ridden, self doubter, self hater I’ve always been. My followers might’ve noticed I haven’t posted on here in a long time. 163 days to be exact, according to FB. In all honesty I threw myself off the wagon we call life and just hid. I hated everything about my life and myself. I certainly wasn’t making art. So, what changed. There’s the huge deadline of my solo show coming up in July. An order for Florida to get done. But it’s more than that. I knew I had to make a change. That I didn’t want to be the person I became. Started grounding myself in nature and started making art again. Is this a “I’m back baby!” post? We’ll see. I can say it’s very hard to spend your entire life hiding then try to show up and show my art. So for now, I’m back and making art!

You can find me at Cooperative Gallery 213 at 213 State St. Binghamton, NY 13901 this Sunday for the Broome County Arts Council. Sadly, I will not be there on Saturday, the 20th. I’ll be in Olean at the opening reception to the Southern Tier Biennial. My art will be up for viewing on Saturday however. If interested in any of the art hang, I will have some plate flowers too, please reach out to me directly and I will set anything aside if needed. Thank you and have a great weekend!

Spent the day yesterday driving across NYS to Olean, NY, where I dropped off my artwork, Silver Linings. Oil, Acrylic on Canvas with Woven Metal Mesh sewn onto it. It was picked to be in the Southern Tier Biennial this year. I am so honored and grateful to be chosen for such a prestigious show! Thank you beyond measure! I included some really cool public art in my series of photos from the trip and some stunning landscape photos. It is such a beautiful drive across the Southern Tier.

The show opens with an opening ceremony on Sept 20th 3-6pm and runs till October 18th.

Thank you again to all the jurors and the organizers of the show. I am excited beyond words to be a part of this show!

Did I ever mention how much of a bad ass my father is?!?! Here’s a look at his latest project he just wrapped up for a local downtown restaurant. It’s a weird yet amazing feeling knowing that my father built stairs, rails, fire escapes, gates, you name it, that’ll stand the test of time and be there for as long as I’m around to go visit. Crazy! Love you Dad! Happy Father’s Day!
