Long before natural and synthetic dyes existed, blue was one of the most difficult colors to create. Some of the earliest blue dyes came from the indigo plant, while the most prized blue pigment, ultramarine, was made by grinding lapis lazuli, a rare stone imported from Afghanistan and often worth more than gold.
We are no finance majors, but that makes our signature color blue and white rugs basically free.
