The first custom home of my career was 20 years ago, in Highland Lakes in Birmingham, Alabama. I’ve done many, many homes since then, both custom homes, as well as working with builders on houses to be sold, and countless commercial projects. A main objective has always been to complete each project in a way that would not be quickly dated, no matter the style. This is painted brick, though it looks like stucco in the photo.

I did each of these houses in 2019. Difficult to believe it’s been that long, but even more difficult to believe that not one element needs to be changed, on any of them. This is what I strive for. A look that is at once classic and yet current, and it’s my favorite challenge of my profession.
