It’s hard to explain how full my heart is! Having time with these two incredible women was just what the doctor ordered. We played all over Lisbon, took the train to a magical place called Sintra where we meet an amazing human named Gustavo. Our day with him was dreamy…..he owns his own tour company and knows EVERYTHING about the history of Portugal. What a delight! It is indeed a gift to have friendships in your life that span years and years…..never take it for granted, treasure it, hold on to it, love each other even when it might not feel easy and absolutely celebrate each moment you have together. Thank you .f.nikolich and for sharing your lovely wives so me……not gonna lie, we kinda killed it on the trip!!! And thank you Heather and Kathy for making such a long trek so we could have this very special experience. I love you both!!

Had a wonderful Forth of July (Independence from America) weekend with my one and only, !! We did VERY traditional things like eating Mexican food, cheering on Portugal while watching The World Cup, a little shopping, walking through one of my very favorite green spaces in Lisbon (Jardim de Estrella), and ending our nights at the most adorable bistro . The walls aren’t just one shade of pink, they’re TWO!! And the blue hues?? I can’t even.
We remain incredibly grateful, overwhelmingly humbled and amazed by this beautiful life. Not one single minute of it is lost on us.

Perhaps the best way to spend a sunny Sunday! Hanging at the Flying Dutchman’s B&B is like drinking in all the goodness life can bring. Delicious food, VERY wet kisses from Rio The Giant, olive trees blowing in the wind, chicks talking amongst themselves, wild flowers peeking out from the cold, wine from Douro River Valley, Ella the princess fighting for your attention and conversation that is real and without pretense.

Whew, the holidays were fast and furious and filled with joy, wonderful friends, way too much food, beautiful lights, a surreal experience in Marrakesh Morocco and it all ended with Ella dancing in the kitchen. 🥰
My hope for everyone in this coming year is to experience unconditional love, peacefulness even in these tumultuous times, a ridiculous amount of laughter, a feeling of belonging because YOU do matter, finding a pace that allows a bit of slowing down so the small things are not missed and to try every single day to OVER THINK the positive!
Cheers to 2026 and all of you who have tolerated me for yet another year. ❤️
