A spring palette pulled from a late 19th century textile feels especially fitting this time of year—floral, softly layered, and full of quiet movement.

This late 19th century water-lily textile by American decorative arts firm, Associated Artists, became the starting point for a selection of favorite paint colors: muted olive, chalky white, washed coral, soft ochre, and earthy clay.

I always love how historic textiles can guide a room so naturally. The palette already exists—you simply begin pulling from it.

Two weeks on the road - our first solo trip like this in over 20 years and we had a blast!

We took our time getting to and from Round Top, stopping in New Orleans, Austin, and a few other places in between.

Good food, good company, a little sourcing, a little shopping, and a reminder that experience always informs design.

I recently had the pleasure of returning to Samford University to speak to the Senior Residential Design class. Watching this program grow over the past few years has been inspiring, and the addition of an architecture program makes it even more exciting to see where these students are headed.

Spending time with students on the verge of entering the profession is always meaningful. Their curiosity, thoughtfulness, and openness to learning reminds me why design education matters so deeply.

Grateful to for the invitation and for continuing to invest in the next generation of designers and architects.

Yes, the cabinets are Aloof Gray.

And no, it will not look like this in every kitchen.

Tall windows with north + west exposure flood the space with cool, indirect light—exactly what allows this color to read soft and blue all day long.

Our small-batch Christmas stockings, handmade porcelain charms and vintage accessories have been finding their way into the homes of the most discerning collectors this season, and it has been such a joy to create pieces that feel personal, intentional, and truly special.

A quick update: WHITE VELVET and BLUSH TWEED are officially sold out, and GREEN VELVET is running low.
