The Asheville Chair & Ottoman by Old Hickory

You may recognize this chair from the set of the hit series Yellowstone.

Seibels has proudly carried Old Hickory for more than 30 years, and the Asheville remains one of our favorites. Founded in 1898, Old Hickory is one of America’s great heritage furniture makers — still building in Shelbyville, Indiana, and still handcrafting furniture much the same way they did more than a century ago.

Their pieces helped furnish the great camps of the Adirondacks, America’s early national park lodges, and sporting retreats across the West. From Franklin D. Roosevelt and Greta Garbo to the Dutton Ranch, Old Hickory has long been part of the American story.

Owning a piece of Old Hickory is owning a piece of American pioneering history.

A piece of American sporting history.

Originally designed and published in the mid-1930s by renowned wildlife artist Richard Bishop and cartographer Joseph Sims, this remarkable map features North America’s great saltwater gamefish, their coastal ranges, and the rod-and-reel records of the era.

The original record chart even documents legendary sportsmen including Zane Grey, while Ernest Hemingway was among the pioneering anglers whose notable catches helped provide specimens for museum reference.

Beautifully illustrated and full of history, it’s a natural for the fishing camp, coastal home, lake house or sporting collection.
