One of the things I’m most excited about is bringing in smaller makers and hand-dyed yarns alongside trusted favorites.

These beautiful skeins are from Strawberry Blue Farm, a local hand-dyed yarn company, and they just arrived at The Shepherd’s Loft 🤍

I’m especially loving the rich berry tones and earthy greens in this collection. Already dreaming about what to cast on first.

Bring your current project, hang out for a bit, and meet other local knitters and crocheters. Participants are welcome to shop during the event as well.

Still thinking about yesterday 🤍

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the shop preview, explored the shelves, picked out yarn, sat and knit awhile, shared ideas, or simply spent time in the space.

The excitement, encouragement, and conversations throughout the day meant so much. Seeing people connect with our space was exactly what we hoped for.

We’re so excited to officially open on June 2!

Meet Lucky and Charms.

We’ve always had sheep, but typically Suffolks. Great sheep, traditionally more of a meat breed and not really known for their wool.

These two are a little different. They’re a Targhee-Rambouillet cross, both breeds known for producing fine wool.

As The Shepherd’s Loft gets closer to opening, this feels like one more step toward the fiber side of things and, eventually, having our own wool in the shop.

They’ve already met our sheepdog Belle and are settling in nicely. My toddler named them Lucky and Charms… we’ll see if it sticks!
