This pair flew off the easel and straight to the printer so I could get the prints released prior to Christmas. The originals are not yet ready to leave the nest, but the prints will be available in my Etsy store and my booth at !
The series, entitled “Largesse”, was inspired by photos sent by a friend who shares my fascination with these tiny creatures. Driven by a simple need for sustenance, they sustain us, not only with their service to the environment, but through their boundless beauty, energy, and whimsy. Defined as “gifts given in a generous, or sometimes showy, way”, I believe this nobility of spirit should remind us that our own balance of surviving and thriving should strive to imbue or community with beauty. Just like the minute movement I hoped to convey in their flight, the smallest act of kindness carries an immeasurable vibration into the world. No matter how big you live or how big you give, just love bigger. That’s it. But isn’t that enough?
