Marhaba! Greetings from Abu Dhabi, UAE! 🇦🇪
It’s been a while since I last posted on this page, so I figured this might be a good time to re-introduce myself. For those of you who are new here, welcome. 😊
My name is Reby and I love to craft. Always have. Before opening up my small business, I worked in HR in the Recruiting department and worked for a couple of Fortune 500 companies (Convergys, IBM, etc). After my stint in the corporate world, I then jumped into doing Public Relations and Marketing for a Social Enterprise in the Philippines called Human Nature. And after 5 wonderful years there, I then decided that it was time to spread my wings, move overseas and do something different. That’s when I moved to Bali, Indonesia where I did copywriting and sales. Whew! I know, right? Sounds exhausting. But back then I was single and was just loving all the opportunities to live life to the fullest; jumping into and embracing any opportunity that came my way. Nothing to lose, so much to gain… and learn!
Anyhow, fast forward to a few years later and here I am, married to my husband, a military man. And what did that mean? Well, that meant moving… a lot. Every 3 years. If you’re lucky. I can recall a time when we moved 4x in 2 years! (NC-VA-NC-VA Beach).
That’s when I thought to myself “ok, what can I do to 1. keep myself busy, and 2. help out a bit with the finances?” 💡 Ding! Start my own businesses involving something I loved to do — crafting! Businesses that I can bring along with me no matter where we went. And so, that’s how this page (The Over-Caffeinated Crafter) and Homefront Wreaths, LLC were born.
If you’ve made it this far, congratulations and thank you! I couldn’t have made it without everyone’s support throughout the years. And while there are instances where I do go missing (especially during a PCS), I’m still so very grateful that you all have stuck around.
I hope you can all support me once again as I reopen my doors and start anew here in our current duty station, Abu Dhabi!
Much love and gratitude,
Reby
