Back from High Point Market with full notebooks and very tired feet.

Jen, Daniel and I spent two and a half days walking the showrooms in High Point, North Carolina, getting a first look at the fabrics, finishes, lighting and upholstery that will shape homes for the year ahead. The standouts for us were sculptural lighting in hammered brass and pleated linen, and rounded, deeply textured upholstery in warm, earthy tones.

Dear us, one year ago,

You had no idea what the next year would bring.

22 projects.
Countless conversations.
A lot of figuring it out as we went.
And more growth than we could have imagined.

You’d worry about getting it right.
You’d second-guess the big ideas.
You’d wonder if you were ready.

You were.

Keep trusting each other.
Keep making room for the big ideas.
Keep saying yes to the things that scare you a little.

And most importantly, keep jumping with both feet.

Bunks on one side. A screen for games and movies. Climbing overhead.

The wall on the right was added to complete the room. Climbing panels now give the boys a vertical play surface without taking floor space from sleep or seating.

A built-in should do more than hold books. It can define a transition, create visual continuity, and bring personality into a space.

For this kids’ loft, we used thoughtful millwork, intentional lighting, and curated pieces to make the architecture feel like part of the home, not an afterthought.
