Some of our best design work happens spread across a table covered in fabric swatches, tile samples, and finish boards. It's where a room's whole personality gets decided, and it's one of our favorite parts of the process to share with clients.

Thoughtful selections now mean a home that feels timeless later.

The line between indoors and out disappears here.

This organic modern master bath was designed to feel like a retreat within the home, freestanding tub, floor-to-ceiling glass, and a private garden leading straight to an outdoor shower. Every detail was placed with intention, right down to the view.

Not every part of the design process is glamorous; sometimes it’s us on-site, troubleshooting a tile issue mid-construction.

This is the part clients don’t always see: real problem-solving in real time, so the finished space comes together exactly as planned. Full-service means we’re there for the tricky moments too.

Design decisions are big ones, so we don't believe in rushing them across a cold conference table. Most of our client meetings happen with a glass from in hand and one of our golden retrievers curled up nearby.

This is what a genuinely enjoyable design process looks like at Finishing Touches.

The best custom homes aren't decorated at the end, they're designed from the start. When we're brought in during the construction phase, we can align cabinetry, lighting, and architectural details with the furnishings and finishes before a single wall is framed. That's how a home ends up feeling cohesive instead of assembled.

If you're breaking ground on your Hill Country dream home, let's talk timing.

The one upgrade we always say yes to? The kitchen. ✨

It’s the hub of the home, where everyone gathers, so it has to work as hard as it looks good. Our advice: don’t skimp on the countertop. Durable, beautiful, and worth every penny when it delivers that wow factor your guests can’t stop talking about.

Great interior design starts long before the furniture arrives. ✨

From reviewing plans and designing cabinetry to selecting lighting, finishes, fixtures, and furnishings, an interior designer helps shape a custom home through every stage of the process.

In our latest blog, we’re taking you behind the scenes to share what an interior designer actually does during a custom home build and why getting started early can make all the difference.

This primary bath was designed to feel less like a room and more like an experience.

Every detail, from the curved architecture to the layered lighting, was planned long before construction began. That's the power of early design involvement.

Ready to bring this level of detail to your own home? Link in bio to connect with our team. 🥂

This foyer proves that first impressions are a design decision, not an accident.

Every detail, from the vibrant artwork to the curated accent pieces, was chosen to create a sense of arrival before you even step further into the home.

This is what happens when architecture and design work in tandem from day one. 🥂
