As owner and lead creator, Rob Saxton has always had a eye for the beauty in forgotten everyday materials. Inspired by the careful woodcarving of his grandfather, his passion developed early in high school, and followed him into higher education. Growing his skills in business and craftsmanship, Rob worked side projects and construction as a framer for homes. As his skills grew, Rob pursued a care
er in landscaping, a field that provided him more flexibility in creating shapes, accents and finishing touches for his clients. Around 2010, Rob had noticed a growing interest in Boise, Idaho for modern interiors, but a distaste for the high prices. He set out to build a business, creating custom interiors with brand name quality at a fraction of the cost. Today he has married the logistics of construction and the beauty of landscaping into designing and creating unique interior spaces for offices, schools and homes. Through recycling and up-cycling materials, RDS Fine Works continues Rob's vision in developing one-of-kind spaces; breathing life into rooms and creating new living areas designed to not only be practical, but to inspire, educate, and provoke imagination.
