In the summer I find myself watching some of my favorite movies. I love “The Holiday”, “Something’s Gotta Give” and “It’s Complicated”. The movies are great but I love the interiors even more. I love the Nancy Meyers style so I thought I would make a color palette to help those who want to bring that style into their own homes. Let me know what you think, would this work in your home?

☀️ Summer Mom Confession Time ☀️

Let’s make this summer fun for everyone... and by “everyone,” I also mean Mom.

At the beginning of summer, we made a chore/task list for the kids. Was there complaining? Absolutely. Were there dramatic sighs and negotiations worthy of a hostage situation? Also yes. 😂

But now that we’re a week in, it’s actually working GREAT! The kids are helping more around the house, playing more creatively, and best of all, they don’t have to ask me 100 times a day, “Mom, what do I do next?” 🙌

Real talk, fellow mamas: it’s okay to stick to the routines and expectations you set. The structure doesn’t ruin the fun—it actually creates more of it. Plus, I’m writing this as a reminder to hold myself accountable too. 😉
