I’ve been in the design world for over 20 years, and I’ll stand by this: color is the most important part of design. More than style, more than furniture.

It’s how your home feels.

That’s why I create pre-designed color palettes with guidebooks and do color consultations, interior, exterior, and cabinets.

Before and After of Weston’s bedroom makeover. Proof that you do not have to change a lot to make a big difference in a space. We used the same furniture but changed the layout. We used most of the same decor items because that is what is special to him. Finally and I say this all the time but what made the biggest difference was the paint. We didn’t change is wall color we just painted the trim and added stripes on his walls.
I love how his room turned out and so does he!

Day four of my son’s bedroom update and it was the best part!

Childhood’s too short for boring bedrooms!

Finishing putting our son’s room back together and thinking to myself if I did not let him have some say or keep the items he loves how boring his room would be. Yes we need to help direct and plan our kids rooms but we need to let them have fun and include all the things they love.

Was it worth the time it takes to tape out the stripes on the walls of my son’s room? 💯

Also he did marry a color consultant/decorator so he should not be surprised when I want to update rooms in our home all the time.
