I have a small benign mole under my right eye. We shall call him Harvey.
I mean, if something has been with you for decades, it deserves a name.
This morning, my husband looks at me and says:
βYou have something under your eye.β
βYou mean my mole? The one Iβve had for years?β
βNo, thatβs new.β
Without even looking in a mirror, I put my finger directly on Harvey.
βThis mole?β
βYes! That mole.β
βHoney, Iβve had this mole for DECADES.β
βNo, you havenβt. Thatβs new.β
I love when people tell me things about my own body with such unabashed confidence.
Particularly men. π
Sir.
YOU MARRIED HARVEY.
In fact, 15 years ago, Harvey was right there on a job site when a certain crew chief, who was SUPPOSED to be working on the other side of the ballroom, kept finding reasons to hover around me.
That crew chief was my future husband.
Harvey was there.
Harvey saw the whole thing.
Harvey watched you flirt with me.
You didnβt just marry me.
YOU COURTED HARVEY. π
