HAPPY MAD HATTER DAY! In a nod to the illustrations of John Tenniel and the eccentric character from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland: 10/6 is Mad Hatter Day. If you've been around a while or you read the recent article in Kansas City's Northeast News about Clay And Wick, you might know that Clay was a hatter before he was a potter.
There are 2 weekends left of The Kansas City Renaissance Festival, and the weather is finally bearable, so there's still time to stop by to say hi and to pick up your all natural beeswax candles, handmade pottery AND HATS.
We currently have a limited supply of hand felted wool Bycocket hats. This style of hat often thought of as a "Robin Hood" or "Peter Pan" hat is a very historical style that was popular in Western Europe amongst various classes; peasant to noble, in from the 12th to 16th century. Colors in stock include: Green, Blue, Purple, W**e, and Natural.
