Three bathrooms I'm working on. Two are in Mountain Lakes and one in Morristown. The fun part is selecting all of the materials and designing the actual spaces by creating floor plans and elevations. Next comes meeting with the talented craftsman and contractors to realize my designs, approved and collaborated on, by the client. A great team, all on the same page, ensures a happy customer. We love re-imaginging space. www.papyrushomedesign.com

I'm working on several great projects this Spring! The client ask: to live intentionally, first editing and removing anything dated or no longer needed. Then, painting the whole house and sanding and staining the hardwood floors. Followed by adding new furnishings in fabulous colors and textures, custom area rugs made to fit each room and adding wallpapers and grasscloth in several spaces. As designers, we have access to beautiful fabrics, wallpapers and furnishings, not available to the general public. We work together with our clients and make your house YOU, but even better!! We love re-imaginging space.

On this official 1st day of Winter, I wish everyone a very Merry, and jolly, Christmas and festive holiday season!! To ALL, good health and good cheer......and the other good news is that the days will now be getting longer again. Woohoo. XO, Katja

I don't think that I posted the photos of this completed basement renovation project. Scroll thru to the end, to see the before photos. The clients wanted to add a bathroom, create a living space, a bar area and pool table room, as they entertain a lot. I brought in an architect to figure out the specifics for the bathroom location (as everything needed to be pumped up) and then told him where I wanted all of the spaces to be located. I then designed the bar area, selected all of the materials and colors, based on the clients wishes and found some cool light fixtures.....specifically the one over the pool table. The client selected a lot of the furnishings pulling the entire space together. A terrific collaboration, wanting them "to stay in". Wouldn't you? I love re-imagining space!! Katja
