Potter, Julie Moore, is a mostly self-taught artist whose work focuses on utilitarian, functional pottery which is intended to be used daily and to enhance your quality of life. All of her pieces are made of stoneware clay which is shaped on a potter's wheel and fired two times.

This is Ken Julie's husband. Sadly, Julie passed away on March 7, 2023 and the studio is now closed. The studio was her HAPPY place and she loved talking to customers while throwing pots! It gave her such fulfillment! Her legacy will live on in her more that 30,000 pieces of pottery thrown during her 32 year career!

Thanks so much for providing a great 2022 summer season in Boothbay Harbor. After a bit of time needed to complete orders I'll then be focusing on family and holidays for a bit. As of early January I'll get restarted making as much pottery as possible to get started in my shop by Memorial Day weekend 2023! Hope to be able to keep the shelves more attractive and see you all again!!!

MRI scan today showed no brain cancer areas! I'll be continuing on the med infusion every two weeks and get scanned again in two months. Back to my wonderful life.

I've got lots of pottery ready to be set up in the studio/shop. Pnina is going to be helping me out a bunch by staffing the place until I've recovered enough from another surgery this week. I'm hoping we'll be able to accomodate your desires. We'll post our expected hours ASAP.
