On this day 20 years ago, many people got up and started their Tuesday just like any other day. At 8:46 AM, a plane flew into the North Trade Center Tower and many people thought that this was a terrible accident. At 9:03 AM, a second plane flew into the South Trade Center Tower and the reality of this situation began to set in. First responders rushed towards Ground Zero in an attempt to save as many lives as possible. At 9:37 AM, Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon. At 9:59 AM, the South Trade Center Tower Collapsed. At 10:03 AM, The passengers of Flight 93 fought back against the terrorist causing the plane they were on to crash in a field in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, instead of its intended target. The heroes on this plane knew that they would not survive, but selflessly gave their lives to save others. At 10:28 AM, the North Trade Center Tower Collapsed.

On September 11th, 2001, 2605 American citizens and 372 non-American citizens lost their lives and over 6,000 others were injured in this terror attack against our country. Included in that total are 343 Fire Fighters, 71 Police Officers, and 8 Paramedics, all of which ran towards the destruction to help save the lives of the innocent victims of this heinous attack.

Most everyone who was alive when the 9-11 attacks took place, know where they were and what they were doing that day. Most of the world stopped what they were doing and watched as the news covered the incidents. Some rushed to help in any way that they could. Everyone held their family members a little tighter and a little longer that day. On that day and in the days to come, our Country came together as one. Today we will see ceremonies all around the Country and we will all reflect on the events of September 11, 2001. What is most important is that We Never Forget!
