When we were designing the Vera Pillow, we kept oscillating between two very different moods: the nostalgic, lush romance of a French cabbage rose, and the wild, resilient texture of dried yarrow.
Instead of choosing, we merged them.

We wanted a floral that carried the heavy-headed charm of an heirloom garden, but with the grounded, earthy soul of a roadside meadow—a bloom that feels right at home as the seasons begin to shift. Stamped by hand in warm terracotta between crisp, wine-toned ticking stripes, it brings that rich, dried-botanical depth straight into fall.

It’s romantic without being delicate. The kind of piece meant to be tucked into a favorite reading chair with a warm throw and loved all season long.

We could print thousands of yards in minutes with a digital press, but you’d lose everything that makes it special. You’d lose the tiny quirks where the carved wood met the weave just a millimeter differently, or where the artisan’s hand pressed with quiet intention. The Rumi pillows start here: raw cotton, dyed pigments, and pure human touch.

Every single grid and speckled edge on our Rumi pillows is pressed by hand, aligned entirely by eye. You can see the tiny shifts where the ink took a little deeper or where the pressure softened—and honestly, that’s where the soul lives. It’s human, imperfect, and grounding.
The base is set. Next, we give it texture.

We love things that ask to be touched. The floral work on our Rumi pillows is dense, heavy, and raised right off the fabric, guided by hand stitch by stitch through worn wooden hoops. It doesn’t look like sterile decor, and it isn’t meant to sit untouched. It’s made to be leaned on, curled up with, and lived in for years.

When we started this brand, our hope was simple: to create pieces that tell a story. We never imagined those stories would cross the ocean and find a place in a 17th-century Oxfordshire estate.
To see our Begum Pure Linen Pillow Cover featured in The English Home is a milestone we hold so close to our hearts. Designer Anna Moss (Anna Moss Interior Design) has a remarkable gift for weaving warmth, history, and character into every room. We are so deeply honored that she chose our textiles to be a small chapter in this house’s new beginning.
Thank you, Anna, for welcoming our work into your vision 💜

Why does a brand-new pillow sometimes look like it already needs fluffing?

It is one of the questions we hear most often, and the answer is usually not the pillow cover itself.

The difference often comes down to one overlooked detail: the size of the insert in relation to the cover.

A cover may be beautifully made, but if the insert is too small, it cannot properly fill those clean, square corners. The result is a pillow that looks softer, flatter, or less full than intended.

The good news? The fix is simple.

Save this for your next pillow refresh.

There are fabrics that serve a moment, and fabrics that endure it.

We return to linen for the latter.

Naturally breathable and remarkably enduring, linen has long been valued for the way it softens with use and grows more beautiful with age. Ours is a pre-softened 25 lea linen, hand-printed so that each motif settles into the natural texture of the cloth.

Made to live in households for generations to come.
